What model year started having computers?

My son has decided to get a truck similar to mine, but we want to stay pre-computer. In what model year did computers arrive?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

1980 I think? I know the 1979s don't.

'84 I think, with the feedback carb. But, I have seen an 86 with Duraspark II stock too.... Anything up to 86 except for the 85 up 302 can be switched to a non-feedback carb and Duraspark II ignition quite easily.
