Post injectors

i have owened my '02 f-250 for about 2 years and love it it's my first diesle and i can honestly say i will never go back to gas engines again. well my qustion is in regards to the injectors i have never had them cleaned and there is 80xxx miles on the truck i have put additives in the tank to help clean the injectors but have been told by a guy that it they need to be cleaned with a machine or something to burn up all the carbon build up. can anyone help thanks. GPGIII

Hey welcome to FTE. No, you don't need to have the injectors cleaned. As long as you feed them clean oil and clean fuel they will continue to live a long life. If they arent acting up then don't worry.

unless they are giving you problems, or you just want an upgrade, there is no need to pull them, a good additive will do just fine untill your ready for an upgrade

There is nothing to "clean" inside... the parts wear out and thats about it... Just drive it
