low oil pressure???
Hi, im new to this group and i own a '82 ford f150 with 300 inline six. I recently installed an oil pressure gauge and it when idle it only has 16 pounds of oil pressure. Is this normal? When i step on the accelerator it climbs up to around 35 pounds. What do you guys think? Thanks

The truck is on its second engine which is out of a 1977 f350 so im guessing it has around 100,000 miles on it. I did take the valve cocver off and noticed there is alot of sludge everwhere. Could the pickup screen be plugged and may also have damaged/worn the pump? Thanks guys.
