Another transmission question...

Another transmission question...
I may keep my C4 tranny but, it appears to be leaking from the tailshaft of the tranny....or......where the driveshaft connects to the back of the trans, (I am not too sure of the specific name)....anyway, Is this an easy fix, can I do it myself, or should it go into a shop? Next, the kickdown is not connected, I dont even have the cable or rod that goes to my carb for it, can I do that, or should I take it to a shop................?

it does have a vacuum modulator that is connected to it, and it is working fine, But when I bought my new carbeuretor i had to buy a ford "kickdown lever attachment", but my tranny shifts good..... except when I put her in reverse........kaaaaaa-chunk
