2008 gvw
Hi! New to this site. Love it! Lots of good info. Got new 08 350 ordered and was wandering if anybody knows about the gvw? I see order sheet from dealer says 10000 GVW, thought when I ordered it was 11000 GVW. Anybody know whats up with this? I did read that some states might reguire this. Is there anything different with the springs or is it just on the tag to keep some states happy. Dealer tells me its built, just waiting for it to arrive. Can't wait. Thanks in advance for any info.

My understanding is the 10,000 gvw option is available so people who live in states with varying registration rates depending on GVW can get a break. As far as I know there are no mechanical differences to the truck. The only difference is a different sticker in the door jam showing 10,000 gvw vs. 11,000 gvw.
If you want the full 11,000 gvw on the sticker call you dealer and see if you can delete the 10,000 gvw option before it's too late.
