Brake Drum conversions
HI, on my 57 f-250 i have the 8 lug drum version front and back, while trying to find a decent wheel that i like at a decent price i soon ran out of options. my question is this. can i put an f-100 drums on this truck front and back to expand my wheel options on this truck. thanks for any info.

thats one of the reasons that 55 ended up a half ton twise !!!!!!!!!!!!!too what ive seen and heard the front is easy just convert it over to half ton parts as i've been told they used the same spindle , the rear you are either gonna have to get axles or find a 9 inch out of a 67-72 to swap in . on a 70 3/4 ton i had the spindles were the same as our's supposedley are , and i bought half ton parts and swapped em on . if you decided to swap the rear get hold of norm as the guy with the tow lot next to him has a bunch of old 70's trucks dont know what year though as i dont pry in other peoples stuff . has to be 67-72 for correct width .

t got your pm so look there for my reply , but if your gonna do that , that diff has a car bolt pattern so why not convert to front discs and get the same pattern up front ? just an idea . i beleive most of the kits use gm calipers / rotors and we both know where there ' s a set of them a.k.a the 55 so...............
