which is stronger

Which dana 44 front axle is stronger/preferred the king pin or the ball joint?

That can be an age old offroaders battle. Some say the kingpin is stronger some say ball joint, some say about the same. I personally feel a king pin axle is a little stronger but a ball oints one is fine. Nothing that you will have problems with.

Early Broncos had them (Dana 30) and F-100s had them (Dana 44). Just search on "mini-king pins".

I would go for the balljoint axle because parts are WAY easier to find and much cheaper. When you start to run larger tires the mini-king pins have some strength issues.
