First Tank of Fuel

I picked up my 08 F350 PSD on 12/5. I hit the road last weekend for a trip from Pgh., Pa. to Wilmington, DE to visit my son. On the Pa. Turnpike I averaged 18.6 mpg on the way out. On the way back I averaged 17.4 (its up hill heading west). I set the cruise at 64 and kept the rpm around 1750 and boost at 100 psi as much as possible. I was very pleased with the mpg and performance of the truck. I like to travel at a speed that keeps me alone on the highway. That is usually 5mph or so less than what everyone else is doing. No traffic to deal with.

Let's try 10psi boost. If you can get a 100psi GOD Love ya LOL!!, mileage sounds pretty similar to everyone else if you can keep your foot out of it.

I havent pulled my fifth wheel yet so im curious about what kind of mileage that will bring. I will know in a couple of weeks on my trip south. The right lane is fine with me. I usually dont have to deal with traffic - it has all gone by me. Retirement is great!!!

Hope to get my new truck and fellow you down in Feb. for Daytona 500. Nothing wrong with right lane as long as you keep up with traffic...just don't go too slow because Creekowl (new F350) is getting train horns installed Tuesday...lol
