Hey guys. So i am thinking about getting a full air system for my truck. I want to be able to hook up some air tools and also have some loud train horns as well. I went to this site hornblasters.com because i heard good things about them and came across this kit. Im just wondering if this was a good system and if it is a good price or not? If not where can i get a quality air system for fairly priced. I hear the kits on ebay are hit or miss, some may good and some are just terrible... so im just trying to avoid ebay and go through a dealer direct. Also i was wondering if anyone has done this yet, and if you have where did you mount your tank and so fourth (pictures would be nice.) Let me know what you think... Thanks.
www.trainhorn.org is where i am going to buy my kit and i am already going to add a Warn HD powerplant so i will have two air tanks bolted under the truck
you can add a fitting to the train horn tank and you can run an extension to your air tools, on the powrplant it already has a fitting on the winch to hook up tools
i really to not like the idea of losing bed space for these so i am going to try and find a good size tank that will just bolt to the frame rails. The air horns already come with twin pumps and i will let those fill their own tank, the Warn uses the powerplants own compressor to fill its tank and you can use the winches own tank and the air in the tank under the bed, while the air horns run off their own tank.
And the horns i am still thinking about locations, i need to get my SD and start taking measurements and ideas for a place to put them where water will not get stuck in the horns.

They are VERY LOUD! I did not buy them from the link above. I purchased the kit at a local truck supply store near me in southern CA and had them install them on my truck (cost $600.00 installed). The Tank, Air Compressor, and Horns are all installed underneath the passenger side truck. The Horns are facing the back of the truck so water, mud, etc. does not get forced into the horns while driving in bad weather. I LOVE THESE HORNS! They are worth it! I can post pics if you would like.
Everything can be mounted under the truck. I have had them on my truck since day one. Tank, compressor and horns will fit you just need to make some brackets. I actually used one of my uplifter switches for the horn .
Ok, Here are the picks of the Horns on my truck. I forgot to mention I also used the upfitter switch #4 to switch between stock horns and the air horns when I push the horn button on the steering wheel
I did mine on the opposite side with the horns facing forward. The compressor and tank fit in the framerail and I put the horns on the crossmember for the transfer case. Before anyone asks, no, road stuff does not get into the horns. Had it on my other truck for 3 years first.
