i have an 83 ford f150 4wd with the 302 and auto transmission. today ive noticed a small leak in my driveway. it is red so i figure its gotta be tranny fluid. the leak is coming from a hose that runs from something(dont know what it is) to the transmission. The hose runs from the driver side of the engine to below the front bumper across the front down the passenger side and to the tranny. The leak is right at the front bumper. Can I just replace the hose? And until I do this is it safe to drive as long as I monitor the fluid level?
One last question. I noticed my tachometer isn't working. I think its wiring because I took out the distributer and box and put in a point distributer. So I think i might have messed the tach up. Does anyone know what wire it is?
