I just finished up installing my new stainless JBA shorty headers on my 2006 4x4. WHEW! What a PIA! I don't blame JBA though, it was all Ford's fault. Everything went according to the detailed instructions, but the lower studs on #2 & #6 were nearly impossible to access. Headers fit right up and sealed perfectly. if I can go back and find the name of who sold'em to me on E B A Y I'll put it it on here, since they were half of what summit wanted for them! Now I'm off to put on the magnaflow cat back S.S. duals. ( Hopefully have a sound bite later this month.)-NOTE hardly notice any difference in the way the truck runs right now, but am hopeful of more substantial gains when the duals combine with the headers.
I had a set installed of JBA's with a Magnaflow wih a 3" side ex. last week.
I noticed more power off idle, big power after 2500 RPM's.
Drove from Cincinnati to Dayton (with cruse at 65) averaged 16.8 MPG.
Thats about 2 to 3 MPG better than the last time.
Truck only has 4700. miles, I think it will do better the more miles i get on it.
