I have an '03 F250 6.0 automatic. When I throttle I get a vibration, not real violent but noticable. When I let off the throttle it seems to compleatly quit. At this point I'm perlpexed. Any ideas?????
Me Too! Mine never did before but I recently had the head gaskets done under warranty and now I get a vibration typically between 1300 and 1700 RPM. I can feel it on my left foot through the floor board. I have no idea what it is since it doesn't do it at idle or above 2000 RPM. Very annoying though. I'm thinking it may be either an exaust issue or maybe an engine mount but again I just don't know!

Does this occur at all times (all RPM ranges) when accelerating? If it does then the slip yoke on the drive shaft may need to be lubed or you may have a bad u-joint.

Make sure the exhaust system is tight and not rubbing on anything.

U-joints, Slip yoke, carrier bearing, Ive also seen this happen where people have bumped the driveline on a rock or something and and bent it slightly and it does exatly what you mention.
Does do it through all RPM ranges may even be a little worse when taking off from a dead stop. Could this even be a wheel bearing even though it stops when I let off the accelerator?
Generally if it only does it when accelerating it is in the driveshaft or transmission. Since you say it is worse from a dead stop then i would lean toward the driveshaft (splines, ujoints etc). Is there a lift on the truck?
How many miles on the truck and what mods. Also are there any other symptoms?
Wanted to get to it today but the rain never seems to quit. It would have been nice if the wife's yard sale would have done better this summer so I could get it in the nice heated garage. hehehehehe. Hopefully I can do it tommorrow. I'll post my findings.

I second this opinion. I have some strange vibrations and rattles going on after I installed my exhaust. Everyone here told me to check that the hangers or nothing else was rubbing. Sure enough a little re adjustment and it is good as new.
Sounds like driveline, usually when you throtlle it and load the driveshaft, then it vibrates. When you unload it by taking your foot off, then it goes away. Ive had this problem on a couple of prior vehicles. I am suprised to hear of this on a newer vehicle though (83,000 miles), usually balancing the driveshaft or u joint replacement can solve it.
