Anyone running the DieselSite Cold Rush setup?

Anyone running the DieselSite Cold Rush setup? I'm not talking about the Max AC valve, but rather the switch that allows you to control said valve when just using the vents. I hate that I have to run AC to get cool air through the vents, even when it's cool/cold outside.

Thoughts? Anyone know of a cheaper way to do this?

I was looking into getting a 12volt vacuum control valve from a late 80's, early 90's to do it. But, being the El cheapo that I am, I simply zip tied up the valve all summer. And as an added bonus, it routes all of the coolant in the heater hoses through my coolant bypass filter

It started getting cooler this month and so I snipped it to allow the heater to function again.

My 2006 has the valve from the factory, but it is a Lariat and has the automatic cab temperature control. I assumed all 2006's had this valve though.

I have the auto cab control too, but it is my understanding that the valve is only closed when the recirculate (or max A/C) button is pushed. I want to be able to close the valve and just let fresh air through the vents.

I had never though of zip tying the valve closed.... That would work during the summer, but during the winter it would be nice to use a button since the weather here can be cold on day, and nice the next. Did you notice a difference when you zip tied the valve?
