upgrading injectors

I have a bone stock 88 f150 4.9l..... will simply switching to 19lb injectors offer me any improvement in performance. I have read alot about needing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator but do i really need one? what would be the function? I thought the ecu controlled the injectors....

anyways any kind of further explanation would be appreciated

not worth the swap on a stock engine.

ditto. Also not worth it on a mildly modded engine for outright power. The will help throttle response.
