I bought a 2-2.5 inch skyjacker kit, add a leaf for the rear, lift springs for the front. Cheap and easy. The kit didnt come with U bolts or shocks. For the rear I went to a nearby trailer shop with my old U bolts and they made longer ones for peanuts (yours may be long enough already) Longer shocks are recomended. I just went with the basic procomps I had purchased before I decided to go with the lift, and work alright for now. Then youll need an alighnment.

I got it from summit, and im pretty sure it was around $200 maybe less. It cost me a bit more because of the shipping and exchange rate (at the time) to canada.

yeah. i looked at summit. found a couple good ideas. so would new stiffer coils and shocks in the front for 2" and adding stiff leafs in the back for 3" work. and then maybe a 3" body lift?

you might want to rethink the body lift. they look kinda cheesy and arent exactly safe

I dont mind my body lift. Saftey can be an install issue (bad install, cheap bolts). As for looks, thats preferance, at least it doesnt look like a chev with a body lift (terrible). And the body lift makes my truck easier to work on and clean. As for the coils and leaf springs, you can go more in the front than the rear if you'd like to get a level stance but then you run the risk of needing an axle pivot bracket. Rear springs you have a choice, usually a long thin add a leaf for a softer ride or the shorter thick ones for a harsher ride but with some more load capability. Have a look at my truck in my gallery (sorry only one picture so far) 3 inch body and about 2-2.5 suspension running 35 boggers.

If you get new shocks they may or may not come with new hardware, the ones I had came with the top nut and a full set of different size bushing/reducers for different models but no lower bolt (I think they were supposed to, but I had new grade 8 hardware lying around so no problem). You may need new bushings and hardware for just about anything under there (stabilizer/links, leaf eye/shackle) it all depends on the shape its in. My 96s rear shackle bolts/bushings needed replacement. Its all pretty simple and cheap stuff though. Some weasel **** (penetrating oil) for the old rusty hardware (maybe a torch). Tools, torque wrench, two heavy C-clamps (Its wise to clamp those leaf springs before you remove those old U-bolts, dont rely on the little center bolt to hold it all together. And reclamp them for assembly, makes life easier and safer). Oh that reminds me, I didnt need them but you may need some new spring wraps (the clamps wrapping around the leaf packs) and maybe some isolaters (teflon shims for inbetween the leaf springs, mostly just for noise).
