That can be installed on my F350 WITHOUT REMOVING THE FRONT (factory) bumper and installing one of those huge *** bumpers on? Something that mounts to the frame and feeds the cable through the factory bumper??
Well, scratch that... I just learned that this setup pushed the bumper forward 5" and also hinders the use of a factory plow setup, without major modifications.
That's going to be tough JB.. Finding a setup that works with both a Plow and Winch.. Aye.. You might have to decide if a winch is really what you need and do the fab work to extend the mounting for the Plow..
To be totally honest with you, I'd buy one that mounts to the rear rcvr before I'd do anything like that.. The thing would be lucky if it was ever used, I just like the idea more than anything. A buddy of mine who does a lot of custom fabrication/welding told me he'd make something up that worked with the brackets the plow mounts to for use WHEN THE PLOW IS OFF, which is a decent idea.

You could do that for sure! The plow mounts are pretty sturdy and should hold a 15k winch just fine.. I'd take that over dealing with extensions of the Plow.. Would suck to lug a big winch in the bed, but if it makes it easier, that'd be my plan
I seen a 2005-07 Super Duty that had a bar (like a receiver) that attached over the 2 front tow hooks, then had a pin that dropped in the eye of each hook, and had a winch mount plate in the middle. It was obvious it was not a home made job. Connecting to the 2 front tow hooks is basically the same thing as connecting to the frame. You could take the whole thing off when not in use. Dont know who makes it though. Anyone seen this?
