I realize the truck I'm talking about is older than the criteria but ya'll are a stronger forum.1982 FSB 302 C6........new solenoid new voltage regulator new PCM........I have power from the solenoid and from the voltage regulator but none going to the fuse box or the PCM......had a charger hooked up to her earlier and charger (metal casing) arched and shorted on the core support....now I have no power anywhere....no dome light nothing.......any ideas?It's got a GM 1 wire altenator hooked up (correctly).Thanks all.
This is from my Ford repair manual. I know it's for the 95 351 but perhaps it will give you an idea for where to look, I can't imagine that systems like this have changed too much over the years... Power distribution diagram:

A fusible link is much like a regular blade fuse, but generally with a larger load capacity. Just inspect the element inside to see if it has burned through and broken the connection (like a blade fuse).

Chirs please take a minute and look up a "fuseable link", you will find it is nothing like a "blade" fuse.
Lol, to be honest I based that observation off of the fusible link that I installed in my truck when I did my electric fan mod. Looked pretty much like this:
Goes inline on a hot wire and burns up the element inside the plastic canister if you overload the circuit... Seems an awful lot like a generic fuse if you ask me
