Slush

Well, we had our first snow fall last week and truck ran fine until i drove over a bunch of slush and water. It drove fine for the next few minutes then all of a sudden my rpm's started dropping and i started to lose all of my power. Pulled over for about five minutes, then it seemed fine but 5 min later started doing it again.
Now i know water got in somewhere but not really sure where. Wires, plugs(with dielectric grease on the boots), cap, rotor all recently replaced.
Anywhere else i should be checkin? Now that its been dry the last few days, hasnt been doing it.
It's an 85, single barreled carb, 300 I6, 4 Speed
Any suggestions would help

Even though the cap has been replaced, that will not prevent water from getting inside. I would check it first, though now it has dried out.

Are all the pieces there on the inner fenderwells? I also had this problem when I first got my 1980, and the reason was the front fenders were rusted out. This threw the water all up in the engine compartment. I took that expanding foam you can buy at lowes and filled the opening in, and after it got hard took a hacksaw blade and trimmed it off and painted it with primer. This kept the water out till I finally got new fenders.
