larger cam effect computer?

I am planing to rebuild my 302 efi and add a mild cam, headers, intake and larger throttle body. How will this effect my current computer settings? The truck is an 1988 f150 4wd 5 spd.Any ideas?

Yes a cam COULD effect the computer on your truck...if you pick the wrong one. Serch around on this site for SD frendly cams. There are some that work fine with your setup.

Go to fordfuelinjection.com
There you can read up on some stuff and determine if you really need a bigger cam,
and things you should know if you do go bigger.

You don't need any computer accessories to run a bigger cam and free flowing exhaust on an SD EFI system. The only requirement is that the cam have less than 216deg intake duration at 0.050" and greater than 114deg lobe seperation angle.
