Of Course my chilton doesnt tell me much more than the same description as the codes from scan so im stumped and being 2 years over due on inspection is becoming a problem! Ive alredy tried the unplug computer or battery trik just kiks off even more bad codes. Any help at all on this would be greatly appreciated.
P1433
This is probably related to evaporative emission controls, could be a bad gas cap, broken or disconnected purge line, a burned out purge solenoid or something along those lines. Replace the gas cap with an OEM cap, or a quality aftermarket brand.
P0133
This code means you have a bad O2 sensor, the frontmost sensor on that bank is not responding as expected. Replace the frontmost bank 1 O2 sensor with an OEM grade sensor.
P0131
This code may be related to the P0133 code. If after replacing the O2 sensor this code returns, the MAF sensor located in the intake, which tells the computer how much air is entering the engine through the intake is either dirty or faulty. If you have an oil impregnated air filter, these can contaminate the MAF element, effectively destroying this important and expensive sensor.
My advise is to approach the O2 code first, since O2 failure can cause other more expensive damage to the emission control systems. I do not have a code book handy, but I think your first code is evaporative emissions. Perhaps someone else can chime in and clarify that. The third code implies a fault with the MAF sensor.
