I hope you can help because this problem is driving me nuts. I have noticed that my tranny doesn't downshift at times and simply lugs on . I notice this problem after I have rounded a street corner and accelerate. I expect the tranny to downshift but it doesn't it just lugs away. I have changed a valve in the tranny as per tsb 96 6 6 I believe where a valve with a higher interference prevents tranny fluid from bypassing. I have disconnected the neg. post and it doesn't help. I have had the processor replaced under warranty but that didn't solve it. I have had the torque convertor replaced as well. The problem is even worse when I tow my 18 foot aluminum boat up a hill near my home. It makes the first shift then bogs down and doesn't shift again all the way up the hill. Any suggestions Ken? I am being driven crazy by this truck. Hope you or someone else can help.
