Purging air

Hey all. Almost time to fire up the beast after many repairs. I replaced all fuel lines and both tanks and sending units. Now... Whats the best procedure for getting all the air out of the system? I also will be installing a new Racor filter/ water seperator. Ive heard several different ideas as far as filling it with fuel ,ATF fluid.... Whats the best procedure. Thanks. By the way the truck is 86 f350 6.9l 4wd.

since your aftermarket use of the racor filter/seperator i believe the best way is going to be to crack(open the nut on top of the injector) some of the injectors to let air out. i'm not sure if the racor units have an air bleed on them like the factory units. check to see if there is one there. i would imagine you would want to try and bleed the air before the ip.

I live on a very steep hill, like over 30% slope.
When I change mine, I just install the filter, coast down the hill with the truck in low gear and pop the clutch.

By the time I reach the bottom 300 feet away the engine is running.
