Is this part of that "deep" strike that they had in the Gulf about a year ago?....The one they estimated is worth about 25% of our domestic production?......Just with that one little strike?......That wonderful news (I forget the name of the site) just kinda/sorta got dropped by the wayside........
It was a couple of years ago but this may be the field you heard about. It is the largest in the Gulf to date. This field was originally named "Crazyhorse" There was a band of Indians who considered the use of their chiefs name a sacrilige. BP changed the name of the field to "Thunderhorse, and went and had a ceremony with the Indians to smooth things over. If you do a search for "Thunderhorse" online, you can get some interesting info. Also, as I have noticed your occupation in other threads. Thanks for doing what you do to keep the folks in Charlotte safe.
I always like to see pics of the gulf. I do a lot of audit work for BP and have been to the Enterprise on several occasions. Never been to the Thunderhorse though, I understand that it is 16 or so miles away from the Enterprise, but looks WAY closer. It is an awesome sight at night, coming in by boat.
