Turbo End Play ???

I took all the intake plumbing off. Reaching into the housing and grasping the end nut, it will move up/down ever so slightly. There seems to not be any in/out movement. Is this acceptable?
Reaching in and 'flicking' the turbine wheel, it will spin about two and a half times. I kinda thought it would be more. I started it and standing outside, I turned the key off. I barely had time to take a coup;e of steps to visualize the turbine wheel and it stopped spinning. The engine was not warmed up. This seemed short.
Any thoughts or ideas?
This process was prompted when I found some oil in the pipe that returns from the I/C while re-clipping the connector inside the passenger side valve cover.
That drove home the MUST DO need for CCV mod. Also the doghouse o-rings do NOT like carb cleaner. A trip to the IH dealer is now in order.

yes very little up and down will be felt,,(.001 max play) that is filled with oil when truck is running..the wheel will stop faster with cold thick oil...oil in IC pipe is do to the ccv..it will stop after you do the mod..it will take a couple cleanings too get it all out cause the Intercooler its self will have oil in it too..
