What sandblaster do i need?

I've looked at maxus pressured sandblaster and it looks like it could do the trick. I just don't wanna end up with some rinky dink thing that won't take of rust and paint. I realize i'm gonna have to get a diff air compressor but i'm unsure bout which sandblaster i should be looking at.

To get meaningful advice here, we need to know what you need to do with your sand blaster. Will you be blasting spots, areas or a whole vehicle?

I am not sure who your asking, but I have a 5 HP, ~20CFM @ 90psi, with a continuous run (CR) feature that keeps the motor running during high use periods, so the motor does not keep cycling on and off. This greatly reduces the energy consumption, because it takes a lot more energy to start a 5 HP motor than to keep it running at a reduced load. How this feature works, is there's a valve you open to activate the continuous run mode. Then when you start using the compressor and the air pressure falls below the low pressure limit the motor/pump starts running until the CR high pressure limit is reached and at this point the valve I opened earlier diverts air from the tank to keep the pump intake valves open, but the pump and motor continue to run. This not only saves energy from frequent starts/stops of the motor, but also cools the pump as the air passes in and out of the compressor cylinders through the open intake valve. I use this feature when I am doing a lot media blasting.

Sounds like you have a very good 5hp compressor. I would recommend a 100lb. to 150lb. tank sandblaster with a tungstun carbide nozzle 5/16". I have used ACL Sandyjet blasters for years and Northern Tools sells them.
