Trottle sensor

I have a 87 F250 with a 302. I need to replace the throttle position sensor, and I am embarrased to say but can not find it's location. Any help? Thanks

Wow one of the rare F250s with a 302 in it...

Here brother:

Thats on the bottom of your throttle body (where the air intake hoses meet up to the engine). The part bolted on to the right of that is the IAC.

You actually might need to remove the throttle body to get this part off... At least thats what my repair manual is telling me, I've never had to remove it before.

Yep, that's the IAC. You're going to have to remove the throttle body to replace it.. not too bad of a job.

I guessed judging by your username

Fairly easy to do? I'd imagine so, judging by the instructions. Speaking of which, here's the full instructions:

Maybe if you're cute enough you could get a big macho guy to do it for you

Lol, fair enough.. alot of the younger generation these days seems to lack knowledge. So sad. That's weird that it doesn't work for you.. it works for me.

Just make sure you got some plugs or clamps for the coolant lines going to the throttle body. Or else you'll make a big mess. It's usually a good idea to replace the gasket while you're at it.. mine was in good shape so it was no biggie. Just ask if you need anymore guidance.
