My left turn signal is having issues. If I just casually click the stick down, the signal doesn't happen, and all I hear is a nasty sound like a relay clicking back and forth, or electricity arcing. If I pull gently towards me (without turning on the high beams) while I click it down, I can usually manage to get it to blink normally. Right turn signal works ok, as do the wipers and high beams.
I haven't gotten the time to dig into the truck or do more than a quick search of the forum, so I was wondering if anyone has seen this. Maybe I just need to change the blinker fluid...
Sounds like the multifunction switch is going belly up!!!!
Ford has a service program 00B40 that covers late 90's & early 00 model vehicles, so maybe Mazda has a like program to repace the multifunction switch at no cost, so check your Dealer & see, could save some work time & bucks.
If you'll do a 00B40 forum search, you'll turn up a good bit of info on it.
Thanks for the pointer to the 00B40. I tried searching around but I couldn't find a similar recall for Mazda. I guess I'll look into replacing the switch myself.
