Just bought firestone air bags for the rear of my 03 super duty, not installed yet, & saw they had them for the front too. Is anyone here running them on the front and if so how do they ride, how much lift do you get out of them etc.
I heard it was a bad idea to bag the front because the front travels verticaly and slightly horizontal but then I have 12" of travel up front which changes things maybe on a stock application it wont be so bad. Im actually curious to know how bad it really is cuz my front end is starting to sag and some air bags would be an easy fix.
I don't know about the front end but I have a friend that has 3 super duties and he has bags on two of them, and has a set for the 3rd that he hasn't had time to install. He swears by them if you are towing/carrying a lot of weight.
If my '06 gets pieced back together it is getting a set before the flatbed goes on. If not I'll be buying something else, and it will be getting a set.
As for the front end I think I have read some info on a thread here before. I'm sure someone will chime in, and I will try to search and find the thread.
I have used them on the front before. Great add-on if you have a plow on the truck

Have bags installed on the rear only. I pull a 13k fifth wheel and with the bags the bed only drops about 2 inches. What a difference the rear handling is signifinately better. Highly recomend them.
