ring and pinion?

ring and pinion?
i have a 2000 ford e-150 with 4.2 v6..what type of ring and pinion gear do i need to buy for it...i assume it is the same as the f150 models...i want to go up to a 4.10 or so...is it an 8.8 rear or smoething else?...should i buy it from ford or aftermarket?..what about the gear for the trans to correct the speedo?..thanks

However, it should be installed by someone who knows what they are doing. So , you should probably purchase it from the shop you have install it. If it's not done right, it will be more trouble than it's worth. Find a local drive-train shop that does lots of gear changes.
As for the speedo, I think you can get one of the Chips from this site and have them adjust for the gear change.
