Personally the chevy crewcab is cramped, the quad cab is way to small so its out of the question and the mega cab looks like its poorly put together and it isn't all that comfortable of seat, and I would never buy a toyota or nissian.
I test drove the all crew cabs with Chevy/Dodge/Ford, before I bought my ford, and to tell you the truth, I would have bought the chevy if the numbers would have worked out. I like the new style, and the ride was very smooth and seats were comfortable. I will say that I love my ford, but I know that at the time I probably would have went with the Chevy.
I checked out all of the options available, brakes, suspension, engines, etc and I am quite sure that the chevys and dodges are good trucks but the way the fords were build made my decision. (four wheel disc brakes, suspension, etc) plus 0% financing
I would NEVER...EVER...wear a bow-tie. Or a set of Ram horns, or a rising sun from tokyo, or whatever the hell that symbol is on a Yota.
There's only 1 truck for me. And it kills me that the 2004 re-designed F150 5.4 3v is getting a lot of bad press...but this truck, the one I ordered, has been absolutely AWESOME. I've got over 45,000 on the clock and look forward to driving it every single time.
And yes, I changed my plugs out with no problems! (Lucky, lucky me)
The chevy in the pic looks good with aftermarket wheels, grille and whatever else but when i see them stock on the street they dont look all that good and that goes for GMC as well. I love my 04 f150 and I would not drive anything else!
I'm a FORD man hands down and would never on a GM truck product.
My dad's company tried them for their fleet trucks one year not long ago and they took every single one of them back and told GM to stuff it. Every single truck they had broke down in the drive line and suspension when hauling a lot of weight, yes they all had the heavy duty 1 ton trucks. The company is a crane company and these guys haul around at a minium 1 ton worth of equipment at almost all times and before they left the lot they had all heavy duty suspension put in them. Anyway they did not walk but ran back to FORD because Ford can handle that kind of weight and wear in their trucks.
Now I realize we are talking about the half ton trucks on this part of the forum but it still left an impression in my mind.

After the warranty is up on the 04 scab I have now, the ford is getting traded in on something more comfortable, more reliable and with better drivetrain performance and better gas mileage. To be honest, ford is no longer in the running for me because of both bad dealer service from all the local ford dealers and because the f150 just isn't reliable as a daily driver. With ford off the list I will be looking at everything else including Nissan and Toyota. To say ford has left a bad taste in my mouth would be an understatement and I'm going to change that with my next truck purchase!
