Another mpg question, sorry
there are miles of threads on this but i dont have enough time to research.
95 PSD with a good downpipe, 18 city 20 on the hwy
What can I realistically expect from a chip? I was told exhaust is good enough.
Looking for mileage.

That would be worth looking into. I understand about keeping your foot out of it. What chip? Their are hundreds of em. Did I hear right, exhaust is pretty good, even the cat? Not worth messing with.

The exhaust is very free flowing but the downpipe and cat do restrict it. I would look into dp tuner or tony wildman for your tuning needs. My truck all stock would see on an everyday basis 15mpg driving it easy. Now with the aftermarket stuff on it I get 16mpg flooring it at every light that I can

the truck in my sig averages around 18 city. thats with the chip "stuck" in the 140+hp setting and i dont like the way the road behind me looks, so i often black it out. i bet if i had the control enough to keep my right foot out of it i could hit 20mpg no problem.
