Trusted Mechanic thread
Has anyone ever started a "Trusted Mechanic Thread"? I see posts all the time asking if anyone knows a good ????? guy near Anytown, USA. I don't know the rules on starting new threads, but I for one think that would be a useful one. Its always easy to find the mechanics in your area, the trouble is finding one that is A) competent and B) not looking to rip you off. Maybe some rules could be *you have to have had work done personally, no I heard so and so..., *no recommending shops or mechanics you have a personal relationship with, *be willing to put your real name with your recommendation. I'm sure there are other rules that would make sense too. Just an idea. On that note, if anyone has need of a transmission mechanic in central Missouri, I have one I'd give a hands down recommendation to and I would put my name to it.
