Question New Coil

Had a problem with the truck not starting, so replaced the battery because the old one wouldn't hold a charge. Well, it would turn over but just wouldn't fire. So, a buddy and I tried to see if there was a spark, and there was none. So, we're thinking new coil. Which type is in this truck model, can or other model. And, is this a hard job, replacing the coil? Thanks for the info.

Don't waste your money on a coil as thats probably not your trouble. You need to do some testing on ignition.

Put a testlight on the negative of the coil and the engine block. The testlight should blink when you turn the engine over. If it doesn't, it may be the ignition module on the fender.
