I have a Late build date '04 6.0 w/ 69k on her. This morning it has developed a 'shutter'. When I am driving it down the highway it will run rough and when I pull up to a stop light and put her in neutral it will feel like it is missing. I replaced the fuel filters and oil about 2000 miles ago. Also, It has no smoke that I can see, black or white. I called the dealership and they will not be able to get her in until Thursday or Friday. They said it shouldn't hurt it if I drove it though.
Basically wondering, does this sound like an EGR valve or an injector? If it looks to be the EGR valve do you think I can pull it out and clean it to get me by until Thursday? I have cleaned it awhile back but it was a year ago.
Also, I had it in about 2 weeks ago for a bed plate replacement if that means anything here.... Let me know what you think... Thanks!
