The ABS and brake light are on constantly in my 2000 F-150 2wd 5 speed manual with 155K. This happened 3 years ago and the brake guy just put in some switch, I think it was on top or the differential. Is this likely to be the problem again? Is the the switch cheap and easy to replace?
i had the same problem, first replaced the sensor in differential, still had lights on,did the code thing, showed nothing, broke a front brake line, had all lined replaced, and while up on the rack, mechanic seen a junction block located rite under mastercylinder that been leaking, replaced that junction block, and all is good!!!! no more abs or brake light..... 1998 F150 4x4 extcab
It is most likely the rear speed sensor, which is located on top of the rear differential. This part usually costs about 30.00 and is the most common problem. As long as it is the yellow ABS light, and not the red brake light, this is most likely going to be the problem.

Thanks and yes it is the yellow light. Will give it a try
