how many?

how many sandbags would do good for traction in a 1997 150?? i just did buy 4 today should i be ok with 4 or should i put more into it??

That should be good, I have 4 70lb sand tubes in my 2003 Supercab 4X4 and it seems to do the trick. The more weight the worse gas mileage so you don't want to over do it.

thanks thats what i was thinking is just go with 4 dont want to cut my gas miliage too much....

if the four are not enough then you might look at tire pressure before adding more bags. A lot of traction is gained by a small drop in pressure. Especially if running at max for MPG. 50psi to 25psi is a huge gain in tire patch on the ground.
