what would be better

im debating on either putting a 4x4 conversion on my 69 and lifting it up or i would rather give it a flat black paint job lower it down a little and put straith pipe intake and make it a rat rod, any suggestions

Go out and buy a 4WD truck...forget doing a conversion...new parts are scarce, used parts may not be any good.

Converting to 4WD is a major project for a veteran Ford truck enthusiast to undertake. For a newbie, I wouldn't suggest it.

Rat rod...that's up to you...but if it was me, I'd keep it stock.

Most ppl out there are looking for nice original trucks, not hacked up projects.

For every rat rod buyer, there's a 1000 or more ppl that would rather have an unmolested original.

Better for who?

Agree with Bill, put your sheet metal on a 4X4 chassis, that would be less work.

As for the rat rod, I don't care for them.

yea but the only reason i would do more work to it than keep it stock is because i dont have alot of the stock parts

love the rat rod look doing it for my 86 flat black with pin stripes straight pipe and lowered ill get some pics after it gets out the paint shop. to each there own, if thats what your into go for it
