Questions on pulling my head

I have a 2000 f250 with 130,000 miles on it and the cylinder in the very back on the right bank has 40 pounds of compression did a leak down test and found out that either the intake or exhaust valve burnt. I hear they usually pull the motor or cab to work on it? is that true? Im thinking i can pull it with the motor and cab still in it. what all needs to come off to make things easy? intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, timing cover deal, and what else? any suggestions will help thanks alot! Austin

It's tight but I don't think you have to remove either to get the head off. I don't see why you can't just reach back and break the bolts loose and lift the head off. It's made of AL so weight shouldn't be much of a problem.

May as well pull the other head off and have them both checked out while you are at it.
