Hi Guys, just got the bad news from my machine shop, my 300 is gonna need bored out 30 over so I'm ending up getting into replacing everything, so I want to do it up right. I have an 84 F150 4x4 short/stepside. 380 rears (I think), 4 speed manual OD, 31x10.50 BFGoodrich ATs. I've been reading a lot about cams, intakes, and exhaust on here but I am shooting for as much economy out of this truck as I can MPG wise. (as much as can be expected...I ain't hoping for a miracle)! Not looking to make any kind of performance vehicle out of it, just want it as a reliable daily driver. Just wondered if anyone had any input on this. The truck is geared really high and I'm thinking if I get a cam with more torque at lower RPMs maybe she'll hang in OD a little better? Or is the cam not that big a help if I stick with the old one-barrel? I run 70 miles a day round trip commute, about half hilly backroads and half 65 MPH expressway. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

They have several cams. Look at the one that looks like it fits best for your mix of driving. Don't hesitate to call them up on the phone and ask a lot of questions. You can improve you gas economy if you do it right. Herman
