'03 f250 wheel spacers

i have a 2003 f-250 lariet,cc,4x4,sb,fx4, i had the 16" lariet wheels on it, my buddy gave me his 2005 xlt rims (fake alcoa look alikes) i put 285/70/17 bfg mud terrians on them. my first problem is the rim rubbes the steering ball joints and the truck wont move with them like that, and the second problem is the tires rub on the leaf springs, if i get 1" or bigger wheels spacers would this solve my problem or is there something else that you could suggest. please any help is greatly appriciated.

1" spacers are a bad idea, you whould have to buy longer studs or cut the ones you have. OEM lug nuts are $6-7 each, a 2" spacer set from arrow is about $275-$300 for two STEEL spacers. Most people would not recomend spacers, I have them between my duals, but even I struggle with the idea of spacers on the front. Personaly, if I were you, I would go buy a set of cheap after market wheels like Eagle or something with the proper off set.
