Ford Vaquero concept pickup

I have this book I got when I was a kid (late '70's) titled "Pickups and 4-Wheel Drive Vehicles", By the Editors of Consumer Guide.

Here are links to 2 pages from the book with an interesting 1975 F-100 4x4.

Anyone ever heard of this one?

Ive seen that book before. I cant tell you when or where but I know Ive seen that pic. It looks more like a dealer add on or 2nd party camper style conversion than a production vehicle. At any rate I doubt there are many floating around. Dennis or Number might know more about them.

Very cool! Looks to be a concept truck made by Ford - could be the precurser of the Free Wheeling packages that were intro'd in the late 70's. Interesting dash too.

The white spoke wheels similar to what this concept truck has, were offered as an accessory for F100/150's beginning in 1977.

Blacked out grille inserts were offered in 1976/77.

A low gloss black painted front bumper was available in 1978/79.
