vibration
anybody have real bad vibrations? i think mine is the slip yoke on the driveshaft. it has some play,my truck starts shaking at 25 mph or so (speedo off). the ujoints are ok. new tires. any ideas? 77 f350 cab and chassis 160.8 wb 4 speed

check that your u-joints are not too tight. If they are, you will get a vibration. At your slip yoke, push up and down, how much play are you getting? Also, have you had your tires balanced recently?

i have 16.5's. they say they can't be done. that is the least of my worries as i have a slow speed vibration, it does get worse at 50. the slip joint probably has 10 thousanths of and inch slop. i had a 79 bronco and my 83 ranger had the same issue. i had the shaft rebuilt on the bronco and a new one for the ranger and they drove great after that, smooth as my daughters bottom.
