Front 4wd noise
I did a search until I am blue in the face, didn't find an answer!! I locked the manual hubs for the first time in a while today (snow tonight). On a short and straight piece of road i pulled it into 4wH. I get an awful grinding sound and feel, especially when coasting and it persists for a few moments after shifting out of 4wd. The input housing felt warm as well after a few hundred feet.
Sound like just the pinion bearing? Big Bucks to fix?
