What fluids go where?
Ive heard a lot of rumors about what fluids to run in different components. Ive heard ATF in tranny. ATF in the Trans case. Ive heard gear oil in the Trans case. Can some one give me the final answer? And what type of gear oil IS best in what components? I live in Phoenix, AZ so heat is a factor. Thanks guys

ATF in trans E4OD........ Mercon Dexron 3
Mercon fluid capacities E4OD
4x2.....14 liters/15.7qts
4x4.....15.3 liters/16.2 quarts
Add .3 liter/quart for extra cooler.
ATF in Transfer case ..... same as above... Transfer case without PTO 2 US quarts.........has a fill and a drain plug on the back.

ZF5 uses ATF as stated above sorry thought you had E4OD. 2 more posts and you can put up a signature with truck info......
ZF... has fill and drain plugs on the left side...3.2 liters, 3.5 US Qts, 3.0 Imp Qts
