1. It costs little to live here compared to Up Nawth, and land is cheap too.
2. Nice inside, metal roof = lower taxes!
3. As long as they think "old" = "POS" they won't tax my OLD vehicles much, no matter how refurbished!

Huh? Must be a county thing. I'd buy some acreage in another county and get a mail box if I was getting pounded that hard. Sumter is reasonable.

As a mechanic and resident for over 20 years, including when they still had inspection, I disagree. The tax on old junkers makes no difference, nor does ditching the expensive, time-wasting, annoying inspection bureaucracy (which cost dealers so much in labor to do inspections they helped get rid of them!).
I know what you mean about State Inspections. Had that in NC and youo could slip the Gas Station or Service Center a $20.00 and get a sticker..It was a joke!..
I still own land in TN..Might just change the vehicles back to TN...

Ain't that the truth! When i lived there i don't think i ever had my truck fully checked, Twenty bucks usually did cover it.
