how to ?

how could i transfer fuel from back to front tank. i know i can use siphon method my question is getting hose into tank. seems to be something stopping halfway down filler neck. could i remove something to get hose into tank. i have a full tank and need to drop tank for replacement and i have to do this with my body for support no other idea or tools to drop tank.

i can put 1/2 fuel in front tank and then maybe lower that way.
any suggestio would be helpful. as no garage either so will be done out in the cold.

you just have to wiggle it around some.

use thin clear plastic tubbing, takes longer but is easier to get in.

What I do if I'm going to replace the tank is punch a hole in it at the lowest point with a hammer and large drift and let it drain from that hole into a couple of gas cans.

Then filter the fuel through a couple layers of tightly woven cloth to get rid of any junk in it.
