what was the last year ford produced the 4.9L motor?
wasn't there a faq or something at the top of this forum so people didn't have to repeatedly ask these same questions? maybe i'm thinking of another forum...
It was last available in F150s in 1996, but it was continued for industrial uses into the early 2000s as I recall. There was a website for industrial engines that listed it, then one day I went back and it was gone. In it's place was a v6, maybe te 4.2.
Think someone posted a year or so ago about some company that was manufacturing the engine, I think even casting blocks.
98 was last year of production of industrial motors.
I belive ford will still sell the industrial variant today, though its probobly a factory rebuild.
