400 core worth?
Like the subject says what is it worth? I have a 71 400 plus a 460 insight. Both are rebuilders.I have an idea what the 460 is worth. One of these would replace my old 351M in my 79 Bronco. Thank you for any reply!

Your 351M is as good as a 400 for rebuilding purposes, if you are going for a bore job and new pistons. You can get a reground 400 crank and kit, and use your 351M crank as a core. The difference between a 351M and a 400 is only the crank and pistons. I wouldn't pay more than $100.00 for a rebuildable 400.
A '71 400 has higher compression than later models, but if it needs to be bored, you can't use the pistons, so there is no advantage to a '71 block.
