Hello to all - Just found this site after needing some info on my current 76 F150 4x4. This is my second one in 20 years or so. Had a 78 F250 (which I should of kept!) but needed a smoother ride for the logging roads out here.
I put a 70 460 in the 76. 10.5 to one and a small (217*) cam which was advanced 4*. Edelbrock intake and carb and otherwise stock NP435 with 3.50 gears. It's a hunting/fishing/hauling rig that ain't real pretty but starts everytime I turn the key. 30k on the motor - 193k on the truck which is straight and no rust.
This style truck is highly sought after by the younger guys for modifications due to the straight front axle. It's great to have a site like this to keep them running and to get info from guys that been there - done that.
I'll be picking brains from time to time.
