Hey guys! I'm looking for some pics of mudflaps installed.I really dont want them but keep getting pulled over for not having them.I'm looking for the best looking setup. Thanks. Jim
SuperDuty Headquarters in Gilbert, AZ made something similar for me. The mudflaps are clear though, much cleaner look in my opinion. When I lived in AZ, they were nice and removed easily (held in with a large pin) but now that I'm in PA, one winter and they're completely rusted on. I think I paid around $300 for 'em.
The SDHQ flaps are clear and it has their logo in them (in whatever color their stickers come in). They're pretty clean and durable as heII. The quick release on mine was welded onto the receiver hitch behind the exhaust... I absolutely hated having to get mud flaps but kept getting pulled over in AZ so I figured the less you see of them the better (clear flaps)....
Those probably aren't big enough for jim's rig. My dad (who lives in AZ) tried a set of the smaller ones listed above on his chebby (with 35's) and the cops said they weren't big enough.. Apparently they have to be at least the width of the tire and can't be more than a couple inches (not sure of exact height) off the ground....
Whatever you end up with, make sure they're removeable or you'll trash 'em when you go wheeling.. Or you can throw 'em in the back and when you get pulled over, just tell the cop you forgot to put them back on after wheeling!
I wouldn't mind a set myself...not to keep from getting pulled over...but just to help keep the crap off the body panels and doors. I just have trouble paying $100+ for 4 pieces of rubber flap. At least that is what the dealership wanted for them.

These are what I have. They are good high quality mud flap. A bit pricey but, you get what you pay for.
With an 8" lift with those mud flaps he would still get a ticket. They would be too far off the ground. They are supposed to be no more than 8" from the ground. On an 8" lift they would be 15" off the ground, or something like that.
Best I found. If memory serves, the company can make custom lengths if needed. Pics in my gallery. They fit good, look good, and have a lifetime warranty.

Those look good but I think I like the removeable ones. Not sure. I am trying to think why I would pull them off. Does anyone go wheeling with the flaps on?
If you back up over a curb, or something of that nature, it will yank them off. I backed up on my porch the first time, and ripped one off. Its about a 5 inch curb, flap went in between curb and tire and off it came. If you were to be in a rocky area and backed up over rocks it could tear them off. Mine are now an inch and a half shorter than when installed.
